Fruits and vegetables are one of the things that should be included on a horse’s diet. Apples and carrots are some of the fruits and vegetables that can be added to your pet’s food. This is for the reason that these foods can give the horse a healthy body and help maintain his good eyesight, respectively. Horse feed is also important for the pet’s nutrition. It will not be hard to look for a horse feed though, for there are a lot of feeds available in the market. Just make sure that the contents of the feed are right for your horse. It should have the main source of energy for horses which are essential oils, grains, as well as oats. Yet, it should not stop with the feed alone. There should also some addition on the pet’s food.
Molasses can be added on dry food for horses. On the other hand, essentials oils like that coming from cod liver should also be added on the food for these can help as a supplement for the pet’s diet because of the vitamins in it. Red beet can also be an energizing food for horses. After a day of some activity, the pet can get tired. Beet can help revive the strength of the pet and can serve as an energy booster.
